This bill is in response to complaints my office has received from residents of Crescent Lake who say wake boats are eroding the shore. It asks the Boating Advisory Commission to return a recommendation to the Council.

Final vote for the update to our floodplain regulations. Here’s the TNT article on the subject. The bill received a do-pass recommendation in committee on a 3–1 vote. It’s also received support from the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of REALTORS and Master Builders Association of Pierce County.

Wednesday, FEBRUARY 15th, 2017

On Wednesday and Thursday the Council will be at the Pack Forest Conference Center near Eatonville for our annual Council Retreat. The purpose is to review procedures and set priorities for the year. I don’t expect a ropes course or trust falls.

Friday, FEBRUARY 17th, 2017

11:30 a.m. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON HUMAN SERVICES

Connie Ladenburg, Chair
Rick Talbert, Vice Chair
Douglas G. Richardson

Behavioral Health Coordinating Committee:

  • Continued Discussion of Membership
  • Recommendation for Committee Make-Up — Criminal Justice Sub-Committee

Despite the fact that the Behavioral Health bill failed last December, the need for a coordinating committee still exists. Without appropriations to recommend, its makeup can look different, but the goal of breaking down silos remains.

Future Work Plan

  • Discussion
  • Approve

Other Business • Discussion Regarding the HSRI Recommendations
Are there other recommendations from the study that can be implemented without new revenue?
